Hardwood Floors in African Mahogany

African Mahogany is a straight, even, fine grain wood that resists wood rot and is relatively free of voids and pockets. Trees harvested are traditionally very large and produce amazing, wide plank flooring. African Mahogany is widely used in hardwood flooring, musical instruments, boat construction, and outdoor decking. It’s reddish-brown color will darken over time, and a beautiful reddish sheen is produced when it’s polished. Another great feature is its durability! It rates 830 lbf. on the Janka hardness scale. It has excellent wear resistance and is very workable. Real Wood Floors has used African Mahogany hardwood on many successful flooring jobs, and customers couldn’t be happier!
